HASHIMOTOS & HYPOTHYROID

“ I am all too familiar with the weight loss resistance that goes hand in hand with thyroid dysfunction. I am here to tell you that it is possible to lose weight with hypothyroidism.”
The Functional Nutritionist
Hashimoto’s is the most common cause of hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid). About 90% of all underactive thyroid cases have an autoimmune element, whereby the immune system attacks the thyroid gland, impairing thyroid function and its ability to produce thyroid hormones.
Multiple factors can contribute to thyroid dysfunction. My approach is to investigate and address the following:
-
Nutritional deficiencies
-
Stress
-
Sleep Hygiene
-
Food intolerances and sensitivities
-
Gut health
-
Viral, bacterial, and yeast and infections
-
Toxins
-
Detoxification
